New Defender Vertex leads design and accessory update

Defender has introduced a new specification, Vertex, with updated exterior features designed to give the 4x4 model a more distinctive appearance while retaining its off-road capability.

The new Defender Vertex is accompanied by several updates across the range, including an extended exterior pack, new finishes, additional accessories, revised powertrain options and a six-seat configuration. A new theme has also been introduced for the Trophy Edition.

Mark Cameron, Defender Brand Director, said the updates were aimed at giving customers greater choice while maintaining the vehicle’s capability. “The latest updates to Defender deliver refreshed design details and give our clients even greater choice when it comes to customisation, without compromising Defender’s toughness or off-road capability,” he said.

Defender Vertex

The Defender Vertex sits alongside the X specification and features revised exterior styling elements, including extended front and rear bumpers, a larger front grille and redesigned fog lamps. The features are finished in Shadow Atlas Matte.

The model also includes a Gloss Black tail door spoiler, contrasting yellow front brake callipers and matching yellow exposed rear recovery eyes.

Body-coloured lower body cladding gives the vehicle a lower profile, while new 22” Diamond Turned Satin Dark Grey wheels with Carpathian Grey contrast are fitted as standard. Customers can also choose optional 22-inch Gloss Black or 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels.

The Vertex specification is available in Fuji White, Santorini Black, Woolstone Green, Borasco Grey and Carpathian Grey, as well as a Patagonia White Matte Wrap inspired by the South American landscape.

Protective film options include Matte Protective Film and, for the first time, a Gloss Protective Film option. Interior choices include Windsor Leather and Forged textile seats in Ebony or Caraway/Ebony, as well as Ultrafabrics seats in Light Cloud/Lunar.

The Ebony Forged textile option uses a knitted 100% polyester material designed for durability. Standard features include three-zone Climate Control, Cabin Air Purification Plus, an Air Quality Sensor and a domestic plug socket on the Defender 90 and 110. The Defender 130 receives four-zone Climate Control.

Extended exterior pack

Inspired by the Vertex specification, the extended exterior pack is available as an optional styling package for the X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, including Hard Top, and V8 models.

The package includes extended front and rear bumpers finished in Shadow Atlas Matte, a rear spoiler and a body-coloured spare wheel cover.

Customers can choose from four wheel options, including a new 22”Gloss Black wheel, a 20” Satin Dark Grey option, 20” Diamond Turned wheels with Gloss Dark Grey contrast, and a 20-inch Gloss Black variant.
