OTESA Civil Engineering has appointed Marius Burger as Chief Financial Officer, effective 2 March 2026. The move is designed to strengthen financial governance and support the company's efforts to scale operations and optimise project delivery.
Burger brings a wealth of experience in financial restructuring, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement. His leadership will be central to OTESA’s current strategy of strengthening its balance sheet and ensuring disciplined execution across its civil engineering portfolio.
In the tourism sector, O&L Leisure announced the appointment of Maryke van Lill as Managing Director, effective 1 March 2026. Van Lill simultaneously joins the O&L group executive team, marking a significant milestone for her career and the business. Van Lill brings more than 15 years of diverse experience across marketing, brand strategy, innovation, and client leadership.
“I am deeply grateful for the trust the executive committee (EXCO) placed in me to take on this immense responsibility,” van Lill said.
In the mining sector, Consolidated Copper Corporation has announced the appointment of Vikram Cariappa as its Chief Financial Officer, following the resumption of activities at the Tschudi copper processing plant. Cariappa brings more than 15 years of senior financial leadership across the global mining and metals sector, combining strategic finance, operational delivery, and risk management.
The Tschudi copper processing plant resumed operations in August 2024 after a four-year shutdown.
