Pupkewitz backs black rhino rangers

In November 2025, Pupkewitz Toyota hosted a 12-hour night race around its dealership, bringing together the community to raise funds and awareness for one of Namibia's most endangered species, the desert-adapted black rhino.

In partnership with Wilderness and Children in the Wilderness (CITW), the initiative raised funds to support the rhino rangers and trackers who work, often under challenging conditions, to protect the animals from poaching.

Pupkewitz Toyota, Wilderness and CITW donated equipment worth N$40 000 to rangers from the Torra, Sesfontein and Anabeb Conservancies. The equipment will strengthen their capacity to carry out conservation work safely, effectively and sustainably in the landscapes they protect.

The initiative demonstrates the impact that can be achieved when the private sector, conservation organisations and local communities unite behind a shared purpose. Organisers said the partnership helps safeguard Namibia's natural heritage and ensures future generations can continue to experience the country's wildlife.
