The second Public-Private Forum will be held on 25 and 26 November, with the government seeking to turn previous commitments into completed projects, investment and job creation.

The National Planning Commission (NPC) announced that the forum, chaired by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, will be held under the theme “From Commitment to Competitiveness: Accelerating Investment, PPPs and Job Creation”. The meeting comes a year after the inaugural forum, held in October 2025, at which 171 solutions were proposed and 34 presidential commitments were made.

The first forum also led to the establishment of three presidential task forces focusing on economic recovery; housing, land delivery and sanitation; and health.

The task forces submitted their first reports to Cabinet earlier this year, prompting presidential directives to relevant offices, ministries and agencies for implementation.

The NPC said the second forum would assess progress against those commitments, identify obstacles to implementation and strengthen accountability across government and the private sector.

The NPC, working with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board and the forum’s coordinating committee, is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the directives and recommendations.

Government offices, ministries and agencies have been urged to accelerate implementation, provide timely progress reports and address outstanding challenges ahead of the November meeting.
