Enduring Partnerships help Agra Achieve Record Profit

Agra has posted a profit after tax of N$115.1 million for the 2024/25 financial year, up 56.7% from the previous year, marking the company’s most successful year in its 45-year history. Total revenue increased by 5.5% to N$2.81 billion, while gross profit rose 9.2% to N$556.3 million, and operating profit jumped 43.7% to N$155.4 million.

The company shared these results at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, 5 December at the Agra/Bank Windhoek Ring, attended by shareholders, the Board of Directors, and executive management. Chairman Ryno van der Merwe opened the meeting by acknowledging Agra’s strong performance and emphasizing that the milestone reflects not only financial success but also enduring partnerships with Namibian farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities.

“Agra’s achievements are rooted in cooperation, not profit at the expense of our clients, but shared success through loyalty, service, and mutual growth,” Van der Merwe said.

Chief Executive Officer Arnold Klein provided a detailed presentation on the financial results, highlighting improved margins, disciplined cost control, and strategic expansion as key drivers of the year’s performance.

Agra’s share price rose by 4.9% to N$3.85 as of 31 July 2025, delivering a total return of 11% including dividends. Net asset value increased to N$802.6 million, with net asset value per share rising from N$6.86 to N$7.86, reinforcing the company’s commitment to long-term shareholder value.

During the AGM, all special and ordinary resolutions were approved. Three directors – Benny Amuenje, Jesko Woermann, and Marcel Lamprecht – were re-elected to the board, ensuring continuity in Agra’s strategic leadership.

As it celebrates 45 years in business, Agra says it is entering the next chapter with optimism, underpinned by solid financial foundations and a commitment to support Namibia’s agricultural sector and contribute to national economic development.
