Dantagos Jimmy appointed Bankers Association’s CEO
The Bankers Association of Namibia (BAN) announced the appointment of Dantagos Jimmy as its CEO, effective 1 July 2025.
BAN President Esther Kali said Jimmy’s appointment would help the lobby group fulfil its mandate.
“Her visionary leadership, strategic insight, and deep understanding of the financial ecosystem will be instrumental in advancing BAN’s mission to serve as the forum for advocacy on policy matters affecting the banking industry, while promoting sustainability, innovation, fairness, financial inclusion, and transformation,” Kali said.
Jimmy currently serves as a non-executive director and trustee for a range of companies, including Simonis Storm, TransNamib Holdings, Namibia Health Plan, and Allan Gray Namibia. She currently chairs the University of Namibia Foundation and is recognised as an honorary member of the Namibia Institute of Corporate Governance.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Science in International Management from La Roche College, USA, and an MBA in General and Strategic Management from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.
Jimmy replaces BAN’s former CEO, Brian Katjaerua.
