Suzuki Across: Where style meets smart driving
My.Na Cars recently visited Auas Motors to explore the stylish and feature-rich Suzuki Across, examining what positions the SUV among the brand’s most compelling offerings to date.
Presented by Diana Masters and guided by Joe Losper, a trainee fleet sales executive at Auas Motors, the showcase highlighted both the vehicle’s interior refinement and its practical features.
From the outset, the Suzuki Across made a strong impression. One of its most distinctive elements is the newly introduced rose gold trim, which runs seamlessly across the doors, dashboard and around the push-to-start button. Losper described the finish as a first for the brand, noting that it enhances the cabin with a more premium and contemporary feel, even on the entry-level model.
The vehicle is also equipped with a 10.1” touchscreen infotainment system - a first for Suzuki - paired with a 10.25” digital instrument cluster. According to Losper, these additions significantly elevate the driving experience. The system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing for seamless connectivity, while the digital cluster can be customised between different display layouts, offering both classic and modern interfaces.
In terms of convenience, the Across delivers beyond expectations. A ventilated wireless charging pad ensures efficient charging without overheating - a feature rarely found in entry-level models. Losper explained that the system keeps devices cool and automatically stops charging once the battery is full.
The steering wheel includes upgraded controls, with cruise control offered as standard, while a redesigned air-conditioning panel contributes to the vehicle’s sleek interior design. Despite being the standard GL model, Losper noted that it includes features typically associated with higher-end vehicles.
Comfort and space are also key strengths. The cabin offers generous legroom for both the driver and passengers. While the GL model features manual seat adjustment, the higher-spec GLX variant adds ventilated and electronically adjustable seating for increased comfort.
At the rear, the SUV continues to impress. A hands-free boot function allows for easy access, while the 343-litre luggage capacity provides ample storage space. The inclusion of a full-size spare wheel, rather than a temporary option, adds to the vehicle’s practicality. Rear seats can also be folded down to accommodate larger loads when required.
The Suzuki Across is equipped with a mild hybrid system designed to improve fuel efficiency. Rather than boosting performance, the system supports the engine by reducing fuel consumption and enhancing overall efficiency.
