Tips on telecoms
It is a widely known and celebrated fact that the telecom industry contributes significantly to socio-economic development of each developing country. However we often forget what the telecoms operations means for the operators.
There are three basic objectives of all telecommunications operators, firstly, the need to expand market research and customer base, secondly to enhance network quality and reliability; and thirdly, to develop innovative service offerings to cater for the evolving customer needs.
It is imperative for telecom operators to constantly work on ‘recruiting’ new customers. These could be customers that moved from a different operator or customers who previously did not have any subscription and have now decided to subscribe with a particular operator.
‘Recruiting’ new customers increases revenue for telecom operators. The enhancement of network quality and reliability is an important business objective as it promotes customer loyalty leading to better profits and returns on investment. Innovative service offering equally makes it easier for the customers to choose services of one operator over another.
Conducting adequate research on the market helps operators to know which services and products are in demand. In that way it helps to fill the existing gaps whilst benefiting from
increased revenue.
