Glitz, glamour and gorgeous girls

The Miss Namibia pageant came to a glittering conclusion in Ongwediva on Saturday night, when Johanna Swartbooi was crowned as the winner. Her first princess is Uatjiri Mbaisa, who was also voted public's choice, while Tuilika Andreas is her second princess.

Besides being held in the north of the country for the first time, this year's competition also comes with a fantastic array of prizes, including a house sponsored by the National Housing Enterprise, study opportunities, a car, cash and more.

The main event was preceded by Miss Teen Namibia on Friday evening, where Chantel Boeren was chosen as the winner, with the runners-up being Sylleste Nandago (first) and Melanie van der Merwe (second).

Both events were graced by the presence of Vice President Lucia Witbooi and other high-placed officials.
