Namibia Dairies and NAFAU reach agreement

Namibia Dairies and the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (NAFAU) successfully concluded their wage agreement for 2026, setting a positive precedent for labour relations in our country. This milestone agreement, effective July 2025 through June 2026, demonstrates how mutual respect and shared vision can overcome economic challenges.

The agreement offers tangible benefits: a 5% salary increase for all permanent bargaining unit employees and a once-off N$2 300 ex gratia per employee, with 367 employees

benefitting from this payment.

"By putting our people at the heart of our purpose, this approach aligns with Vision 2029," said Wynand Oosthuizen, MD at Namibia Dairies, while NAFAU's Tuyeni Michael emphasised the mutually beneficial outcome that enhances members' financial security.
