NYEF partners with Namibia Oil and Gas to boost youth in energy
The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) has announced a three-year partnership with Namibia Oil and Gas, a key news and resource hub for the country’s growing energy sector. The collaboration aims to strengthen youth involvement, access, and visibility in Namibia’s energy transition.
As Namibia positions itself as a rising player in Africa’s energy landscape, Namibia Oil and Gas has grown beyond being just a media outlet. It now serves as a strategic connector, knowledge platform, and advocate for responsible growth in the oil and gas industry.
Through this partnership, NYEF members will have free access to Namibia Oil and Gas’s Resource Data Hub – a central space for industry news, insights, tenders, and networking. The platform connects local businesses, entrepreneurs, and young professionals with real opportunities in the sector.
Teneal Goagoses, content manager at Namibia Oil and Gas, said: “We believe the future of Namibia’s energy sector must be inclusive and forward-looking. This partnership helps us support youth engagement at a crucial time. It’s about giving young Namibians a seat at the table, to shape the conversation, influence decisions, and drive local content development.”
The platform focuses on delivering accessible, accurate, and relevant content, covering exploration, investment, policy, and grassroots stories. With a wide audience, from students and journalists to policymakers, it’s a space where youth voices can reach national and international stages.
NYEF founder Fanuel Shinedima called the partnership a milestone. “By joining forces, we’re unlocking doors for young people to lead the energy shift. Youth aren’t just the future – they are now. This partnership proves we’re serious about building a sector that reflects Namibia’s next generation.”
With major offshore discoveries and rising international investment, Namibia’s energy industry is on the brink of transformation. This partnership ensures young Namibians are part of that journey – informed, involved, and ready to lead.
