Bach & Beatles
The FNB Windhoek Woordfees enchanted a packed DHPS Aula on Friday evening with the Charl du Plessis Trio in Bach & Beatles. The trio – Steinway pianist Charl du Plessis, bassist Werner Spies and drummer Peter Auret – were joined in part by the Namibian National Chamber Ensemble.
This performance marks a change of pace for the festival, which has presented the likes of Afrikaans rock band Spoegwolf, as well as a number of legendary Afrikaans actors, including Elsabé Zietsman, Frank Opperman, and Lizz Meiring.
