Ashburton winners pick charity over money

Ashburton Investments Namibia has reaffirmed its commitment to community upliftment by donating its winnings from the recent RMB Namibia Spring into Summer internal campaign to Good-Will Charitable Services (G-WCS), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities.

The RMB Spring into Summer campaign, brought together teams across the business through a series of engaging activities, including Athletics, Family Feud, and Battle of the Beats, encouraged teamwork, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose.

As the winning team, Ashburton Investments Namibia was awarded the opportunity to direct a donation to a charity of its choice. The team selected Good-Will Charitable Services in recognition of the organisation’s

meaningful and sustained impact in communities across Windhoek and beyond.

“Supporting Good-Will Charitable Services is important to us because of the meaningful difference they make in the lives of vulnerable communities, providing food, care, and dignity to those who need it most. Through this donation, we are able to contribute directly to their vital work. Their values of compassion, service, and empowering communities align closely with our own philosophy at the FirstRand Namibia Group: to do what matters," Taimi Shejavali, CEO of Ashburton Investments Namibia, said.

Since its establishment in 2020, Good-Will Charitable Services has played a vital role in addressing food insecurity and supporting disadvantaged communities. The organisation focuses on distributing food parcels to informal settlements, orphanages, and soup kitchens in areas such as Havana, Goreangab, Okahandja Park, Kilimanjaro, and Oshitenda (One Nation). Its reach has also extended to communities beyond

Windhoek, including Dordabis and Okahandja.
