“This recognition is a moment of national pride,” said James Chapman, MD of Bank Windhoek. “Over the past 43 years, Bank Windhoek has been an integral part of Namibia’s history, deeply rooted in its culture and heritage. This award is a tribute to the people who serve with integrity and excellence every single day.”

For its part, Old Mutual Namibia's executive for group marketing and public affaiirs, Mignon du Preez said the recognition is deeply humbling. "It reaffirms that our brand continues to resonate with Namibians – not only for the financial solutions we provide but for the role we play in building a better future for our communities. To be named the most admired insurance brand, while also being recognised for our societal and environmental impact, underscores the holistic value we aim to deliver. It’s a powerful reminder that doing good is good business.”

Brand Africa’s 15th edition also recognises brands across G20 and BRICS countries, as well as those contributing positively to society. Led independently on behalf of Brand Africa by GeoPoll and Kantar, two of the world’s most respected research firms, the survey is supported by regional partners, with strategic analysis by Kantar and Brand Leadership.

The 2025 edition elicited over 150 000 brand mentions and 5 930 unique brand mentions, weighted to produce a representative Top 100 ranking.
